About Kendra
Kendra is the Behavioral Health Deputy with the Co-Responder Unit (CRU) at the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office. She’s been a Deputy since 2020 and is a member of the Ozaukee County Peer Support Team, and the Critical Incident Debrief (CID) team. Kendra has a BA in Psychology, with minors in Sociology and Philosophy.
Prior to entering the field of law enforcement, she worked with individuals in the community with a variety of different needs, including children and adults with mental and physical health conditions. She has found her passion in her current role, bringing her experience in both law enforcement and social services together. Kendra is grateful for the opportunity to serve the population she is so passionate about.
Motivated by a deep commitment to supporting the mental health of others, Kendra is dedicated to helping youth and young adults embrace self‑acceptance, show kindness toward others, and build the skills that promote emotional well‑being and reduce the risk of suicide within their communities.
Kendra’s expertise is grounded in extensive field experience supporting individuals at their most vulnerable moments. Having witnessed both effective and ineffective crisis responses, she has developed comprehensive trainings designed to equip law enforcement, clinicians, and other crisis responders with the skills to intervene with compassion, competence, and a strong commitment to safety for everyone involved.
